Saturdays

Last Saturday was an absolute blast which started out as a supposedly planned Anatomy videos session at one of the guys' place when we got bored barely 10 minutes into the thing and decided to watch a movie instead, then changed to another movie after 15 minutes, then again scraping that thought because we just couldn't concentrate.

And so we settled on switching off all the lights and turning the entire place into a makeshift club, what with me tasked with being the DJ and we even had LED lights for the effect.

So awesome!

Then this Saturday the dents headed out for their dental ball, so we med students thought we should have our own bunch of fun after much contemplation of not attending the dental after party, and we made a grand dinner before heading out.

As we walked along the roads, Christmas lights were already up and it was such a surreal and beautiful sight - it really feels like Christmas when you're walking in the cold with your gloved hands stuffed deep down into the pockets of your coat and you're huffing out smoke as your breath condenses in the blistering cold air but you're still happy because the lights and shapes make you happy. Hence we admired the lights and started singing Christmas carols at the top of our voices.

We then made our way to Tesco where we walked along the grocery aisle grooving crazily greeting everyone who passed us. Soooooooo fun!!!!

And so everyone made the startling conclusion that caffeine for me makes a better high than alcohol, but maybe that's just for today.

Anyway, it's two more scary weeks to the winter exams. I need to have a super-power memory right now and so much self discipline.

Can't wait for exams to be over though, because then I'm gonna party so hard and try every drink behind the bloody bar and flirt with that cute bartender, and then two days later I'll find myself on a plane to Spain.

Life smells good.
